For many years, we have been actively involved in the Friends of Edgemont Park volunteer group. During those years we and members documented a list of needs, including upgraded lighting, safer pathways, new benches, streamlined parking in front of the shelter house as well as additional tree planting. We were hired by Montclair Township to formally design a proposal and select the new elements that were installed. We also supervised the contractor whom the Town hired through a bidding process. This project was completed pre-Covid. During the pandemic, the number of visitors to the Park grew enormously. It was heartwarming to see people finding a thoughtfully refreshed park to safely, gather in. Our commitment to Edgemont Park and a number of others within the township is ongoing.
